Do You Have Old Fuel That You No Longer Require?
If you store fuel for a long period of time it can become contaminated and also erode the container. This can then result in hefty costs and environmental damage that could have easily been avoided. This is particularly common when storing red diesel (gas oil) due to its nature and wide ranging applications. So the need for the fuel to be uplifted from a tank to be removed or to be uplifted and transferred to an alternative tank or site becomes transparent.
With over 30 years’ experience of fuel uplift, no job is too big for Birlem Oil, but please note, there is minimum amount of 500 litres. We guarantee to offer an proficient, cost-effective and stress-free fuel uplift service. Whatever your requirements, we are here to help, regardless of your industry.
Why would we uplift fuel?
- Fuel is no longer needed e.g. completed site work
- Fuel is severely contaminated is no longer of good enough quality for use
- You have planned decommission
- You are relocating to a new site
- Your fuel tank is leaking
- You need to transfer to one tank to replenish with fresh
How does fuel removal work?
- We conduct a site survey to determine the correct removal method
- We develop an action plan with risk assessments of how we will conduct your waste supply
- We consider any environmental issues that may arise
- We remove any primary material followed by tank residues and degassing tanks
If you have a specific requirement, we can deliver our uplift service on an ad hoc basis, or as part of a more regular fuel management service, which we strongly recommend which involves testing, monitoring, cleaning and transferring fuel on a fixed price annual basis.
Do you have surplus fuel?
We also have a fuel waste management service to remove your unwanted oil and lubricants. When we remove your fuel, instead of charging you to get rid, we look to recycle as much as possible so it can be re-used in the industry. If feasible, and we are able to fuel polish your unwanted fuel, we will offer you a price, dependent on the quality and volume.
Our position in the industry enables us to reuse your waste fuel and put it back into the market at a profit to you to avoid waste.
What if my fuel is too contaminated?
If your fuel is in a bad condition and cleaning and polishing is not an option, we will fully remove your fuel and degas your tank before undertaking the fuel decommission. To find out more about our fuel uplift service, give us a call on 020 8801 5497 and we can discuss your requirements further.
Do you need a new storage tank?
If your fuel has become contaminated then there is a chance that your storage tank is causing the problem. The likelihood of your fuel becoming contaminated is very high due to condensation and bacteria. A new tank from us will bring greater protection to your fuel from contamination and theft.
Birlem Oil supplies and fits fuel storage tanks with tailormade or off the shelf products available. We also offer custom designs to suit your requirements. Call 020 8801 5497 to find out what storage tank is perfect for you.
